DH, I'm guessing you don't have coyotes or other predators. Locals here have to dig below grownd level for extra wire fencing to keep coyotes from digging underneath the fence. Do you find caring for them very demanding?

I'm no expert but i reckon at least one of them aint no chickin...
PS, I let mine out to chooken aroudn the garden every day, it's my son's job to lock them up at night, as faxes are a problem here. Last night, he forgot, and we spent may 1/2 an hour lookign for them, before givign up. Have you ever had to look for a chiocken? They're as quiet as a mouse at night... I was very happy to see them alive and well this morning :-)
You need an onsite live in farm hand......when do I move in ?? Kidding , just envious of your wonderful country life that I have been yearning for for 20 years now.
You might have a hard time bringing those chickens with you when you join the Army..
Yeah. When's that happening? Are you training?
Poultry in motion ;) sorry I was powerless to stop that one...
You have a regular petting zoo there! I plan to get some chicks from Murray McMurray when I get up to the mountains. My Dad just got some and I got a dozen eggs the other day from him! Well done BTW. I hear it is a hoot raising them.
yes we have fox coon ansd cyote, lets just say i keep them in check around here lol no there not very demanding feed them once and water them in the morning and throw some scratch down thru there run when i get hime for work in the evening and clean the pens once ar 2 times a week, there is a regular petting zoo here now, the poor horse has soo many chickens that love to sit on him and around him its not funny, and its already been decided that for my graduation its going to be a huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! chicken fry so when i leave for the army next summer theres only a few birds for my uncle to worry about just a few for him to get eggs from and eat lol
