I just picked up a four piece set of the "frozen heat" kitchen knives from eBay. Seem to be a nice and quality knife set, well built.
The best thing is that I was the only bidder and got the entire set for $3.50!
Impossible to beat that!
Anyone have or have used these before? Any input about them?

Well I don't know honestly, they don't say that I saw. But I only just got a quick look on my lunch. I'll get some pics up later.
I know they made 'frozen heat' pocket knives, not sure if they had that method with their razors. Robeson was also part of the extended Case family and they made really good pocket knives and I love my Robeson "razor that fits your face'. If it is a vintage set I bet they will be very good. In the past 20 or so years some new stuff has been made with Robeson's brand. Not sure if it is good, bad or indifferent.
Yeah they're definitely vintage from everything I can find. They're shuredge frozen heat, with the exact stamp I've seen online. They're really pretty nice.
I've not got one of their razors, but I've heard good things. I was looking at ebay for the razors when I spotted this in fact.
Perhaps the "Frozen Heat" means stainless steel? Here is a pic of a few Griffon knives I got for a song. They were made in Germany. I recall reading where Griffon had a factory in Germany making cutlery. Knives from good razormakers should all be great!

What I'm reading is that frozen heat was what the Case guy who was running the show at the time named a process of tempering stainless that they developed.
Now you're making me want to get some of those Griffins!

Robesons in the later years were all made in the USA. I think he imported some from Germany very early on.
