Diamond files
Are there any companys that make diamond files that are not over seas.
Cause i decided to give the diamond files a try for sharpening a new edge on
some of my vintage axes. as the metal ones not doing a thing to my vintage collins homestead axe.
And it not doing anything to my vintage craftmens one.
But turns out some cheap stuff is useful i smoothed out the handle i put on the craftmens head with a
cheap chinese straight razor.
Will honestly see if i can carve me hacket handles with it out of a maple.

I would think a diamond plate like the D8C 325 would be a better and more inexpensive bet than diamond files. SRD has those plates in all the usual grits. For diamond files I would try Brownells.

I don't know about diamond files Suile, sorry.
I guess that you have tried a 10" Nicholson Bastard on it. I had to use mine to repair a bevel on my Norlund a few years ago.
How about a DMT diamond plate on it, secure the head & work the plate with your hands?
Just a thought.

EZE-LAP makes diamond files. I believe that all of their products are made in the USA. Another name for any shape of diamond sharpener is, "diamond file."
