I bet they can't even make a decent mayonnaise!
They are what, sadly, many Europeans consider to be typical Americans...
Mayonnaise is made with egg whites. It's perfectly suitable to avoid it in the instance one is a vegetarian.
I hate that this is what people think of when they think of America. Imagine a show where you watched a guy work on a computer for 14 hours a day, designing machine parts, housing developments, writing program code, or working at a pharmacy. He comes home, takes a shower, goes to sleep. Gets up, does it again. His kids get good grades, have haircuts, and shower regularly. His wife is active in the community, and nothing dramatic really ever happens. Sure there might be some clever jokes from time to time. Or you might get to see Johnny score his first touchdown. But in general, it's not really all that unique. That sure would be captivating eh?
I guess what I'm saying is that the majority of people who think that show represents a majority of Americans, haven't really given it enough thought to make an informed decision about their opinion. Which, is totally normal.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!
I eliminated cable/satellite from our home several years ago. I honestly have no idea what sort of programming that is, but when I last had television programming, there was nothing like that. I'm happy to know I'm not missing much.
You and me both, brother. We're somewhere around six years without cable or network TV. Funny, our family is just fine. We stream netflix if we want to watch a movie, etc. TV is of course ubiquitous and seems entirely innocuous to those that incorporate it into their daily lives. It's only after ridding yourself of it that you realize how overt and obvious TV is in numbing and forming those who watch it. With most people, TV really is a wasteful addiction and no one seems to look at it that way.
