Love that razor, sir! The light showin through the horn is spectacular.
That Turned Out Good!
Nice Save..... :tu
Agree with Leatherstockings, those scales are spectacular!
Well done, sir.

Tack
Well done!
I think every shave den should have at least one Geo. Wostenholm, and this is a fine example...
Top Notch! nuff said.
Beautiful restoration of a lovely blade !!
Love the two-tone horn scales :)
Gorgeous use of the horn!
Geeze , I have the same IXL razor, would you pm me to help mine look like that? Is our razor a wedge or half wedge or what? You have done an excellent job of restoring that blade and love the scales. Wish mine looked like that. How old do you think that razor is?
MHW :)
As I said elsewhere, it looks amazong Maciek. I love the lined wedge.
I'm delighted I sent the blade to you.
If it shaves as great as it looks, it has got to be sweeeeet !
Just curious,
How time approx. did it take to make the ending restored result?
MHW
Thank you Gentlemen.
It took me over a week but to be honest about four days of real work.
Maciek.
Beautiful work!
Very classy and elegant, the horn is divine great work!
How can I get my blade manually to shine that smooth?
MHW
That is a great restore. Everything is well done. Beautiful horn, great wedge, fantastic pin job, superb finish.
MWNC252: Sanding by hand can accomplish a great finish like this if you have the patience and the grip. I have a variety of SP starting at 180, 320,400,600,800,1000,1500,2000. Where you start in the progression depends on how bad the blade is pitted, and how much you want to remove. (If the blade has etching that you want to maintain, you may be required to leave some pitting too). After 2000 you have a darn nice mirror finish, but can take it further with metal polishes. ( I prefer Mother's polish).
Beautiful work there, absolutely love the shape of the blade combined with the horn.

Thanks Souschefdude,
Thank you for the information, I will try harder, it will be tough on the hands!
MHW
I see no need to try harder than that! It seems perfect to me! Really good work! :chapeau
That is absolutely gorgeous... The gloss on those horns is ridiculous. That is some truly fine work!
Thank you Gentlemen :)
Maciek.
Awesome job!!
