Getting closer!!
A while ago I posted a Wade and Butcher Diamond Edge. While trying to find information on it, a member mentioned it would be cool, and correct to resurrect the frosting on the blade, and posted an example of how they looked. Here is the original thread... Post 15 shows the example. http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...data-base.html
Well, I don't have the tools to do this properly, and may be lacking in the knowledge how not to screw it up, so I sent it out to a vendor here, to have it brought back to life. I may have pushed him a bit on this one, he has not done a frosted finish before!! When it is complete, all will be revealed, but for now, I had to show this!!

Now that is cool Pierre! Nothing like being true to form, but I believe this takes it to a new level. Can't wait to see the whole package completed.

Quite like that. The frosting looks really good.

Very nice Pierre! I've been playing around with that look (two-toned satin and polished)) and I really like it especially with the shoulder-less blades. I have a John Creswick that is also a shoulder-less 'Diamond Edge' razor. I'll try to post a pick of it.
Here's a thread with some pics of the latest one that I did this way, although mine is not nearly as distinct looking as yours. I would really like to know how you managed this 'look'.

As I mentioned, I commissioned this work. I don't have the tool needed yet, but will soon.

Very nice combination, I like it. Can you give me a hint how the border between finishes is made?
-
As I believe Mycarver has figured this out, I will leave it to him whether he reveals the technique.

..thanks for the answer,.. I sure hope he does :), I have tried to find something on the SRP but couldn't find anything,... and you Mycarver are showing us (well me at least) some super nice advanced things to (at least think of) try(ing)
