First Restoration: 7/8" Joseph Elliot

My first full restoration:

7/8" Joseph Elliot. Real Hollow Ground Razor, Best Silver

Scales: Custom from old olive wood cutting board.

Pinned in brass with triple stacked washers.

Scales were a little thicker than I prefer, but it was completely done with hand tools, saws, files, hand sanded. (But polished with a Drimmel).

Lovely! Is that a faux-frameback grind?

A really nice job, for a first time. Love the wood - olive is one of my all time favorites. Things to think about for your next restore - thinner scales, and make a wedge, not a spacer.
