Something to this, Charlie. I feel you do this for reasons cosmetic as well as performance.
I am fortunate enough to own one of your blades and it shaves as a really old, fine one.
Could it be that your way of combining the old wrought with the 1095 results in this "feel" of your blades? Or, maybe I got one made on Monday!! :D

I used the wrought iron for aesthetic reasons. I love the look of wrought iron it reminds me of woodgrain.
