Saved this Fili from being put down & sent to glue factory + 2 simple restores

So I overpaid for this filarmonica 13 doble temple JMP from ebay... I looked at it and thought "that's an easy restore" and i've always wanted a fili

well The original owner was an idiot and wrapped string around the pivot pin to tighten it.... The rust and damage underneath was wayyyy more than i expected... ended up with two divots right by the pivot pin... well I did the best I could and it looks decent... barely and pitting... sanded the blade so it looked better

It's black horn with camel bone wedge and NiAg hardware... nothing special but that's what I like... clean simple lines... unfortunately all my razors are starting to look alike so I gotta mix it up... and OH HEY i actually remembered to save the before pics from ebay

Next Is my d'arcy vulcan Don't know anything about it other than it's vintage and costed 1.75 dollars when it was new... good steel good shaver, and lastly my "kama-shorty" not to be confused with a kamisori... It was a shortened kama that needed shorter scales and clean up..

Great job on the Filly! The others are wonderful as well, but no "before" pix...

Don't fret about the cost - the more expensive a blade, the more attention you're likely to spend on it to make it look the way you want - and the better it turns out! View the cost of a razor as buying a blade AND motivation to restore it (if it's not brand new or at least NOS). Seems to work during those particularly nasty flareups of RAD - not that I've ever experienced that... :rofl2:
