My client had a pair of matched CVHs in a presentation box, faux tortoise scales with one problem.
One of the scales were cracked.
He bought another MK 32 with the matching scales but this one had a split blade.
I swapped the scales for him to complete his set but he had no interest in the cracked blade that was left.
Well I decided I'd cut it down to have a shorty for myself. I lopped off the end and reground it to match the original shaped tip. I then polished the rest of the blade to a mirror finish.
For scales I happened to have an old set of Bakelite scales that I simply cut off at the hinge pin, reshaped the end, slimmed them down to better stock looking proportions and polished them. I was hoping for a razor that still had the stock look to it and not look out of scale, no pun intended.
