This is what i did. Scales are Katalox. PVC spacer. Beeswax finish.

I had wanted to use the original scales but they fell apart when i tried to pin it back together. that was a couple months ago. Finally finished this up a few minutes ago. Let me know what you think.

Shame about the original scales but you did a nice job with the katalox.
Is this your first restore ?....If so you did great !!
Don't throw away the old scales, they could be glued up and used as a mold to reproduce new ones.
It was the first one i started but the second one i finished. It was put on hold for a bit while i did one as a gift for a buddy about to get married. That Katalox is hard stuff.
