Dubl Duck SatinBaby Gets a Facelift
Hello Fellows,
This poor girl had lost her way, had been used and apparently abused but has finally found the tender care she needs to go back to doing what she does best!
The find was a little concerning, but I couldn't walk away knowing that an ounce of intervention could possibly bring back a lifetime of enjoyment!

Very dirty in general, corroded bolsters, a bent center pin (how'd that happen??!?). On the bright side, the scales were arrow straight, no cracks or even blemishes to speak of and still very flexible. The bolsters were all in tact and in good shape. The blade itself shows hone wear at the tip which has done away with the spike tip - leading me to believe it may have been owned at some point by a barber or someone who knew better than to shave with spike tips :p

Cleaning out the grime revealed a nicely ambered set of scales - its a shame they couldn't come back clear. The bolsters cleaned up very well and, amazingly, were not beat to h#$%...
And finally, for size comparison, the SatinBaby compared to a SatinWedge

And with that I leave it to you gentlemen and ladies. Please share any comments or criticism as I am still learning this craft. Pointers on clearing the scales would be wonderful as well!
