Honewear is going to get worse as time goes by. Therefore you should start out with as little honewear as possible, both on the spine and near the edge. In order to achieve that, you need to hollow out more. Ideally, the line on the spine should be just a thin line, and the bevels should be so narrow that you almost can see it. that way your razor will be easy to hone, and will keep looking good even after many honing sessions.
