Nice razor and gorgeous scales, how does it shave?
I havent honed it yet, just finished pinning 10 minutes ago :)
Sorry the pics kinda suck
Mike
That looks sweet Mike!
Love that Birds eye. To think I found that hunk at A&M woods behind the table saw in the scrap bin. Payed a $1 for it.
You did a lovely job on the whole razor Mike and I love the etching on the blade too.
Hard to tell from the photo but the wedge is Whitetail antler with just a bit of bark showing on the top inside edge.
The blade centres nicely although the picture angle would indicate differently.
Pins are brass with small stainless & really small brass stacks.
Thanks for looking
Mike
Very nice work! Frederick Reynolds are Sensational shavers Enjoy!
I'm not sure its for everybody
Its my third wedge from a small antler.
I like to leave a little or a lot of bark so its apparent what it is
I kinda feel like its out of respect for the buck that gave his life to me :)
Its also a small reminder of my past adventures when i use it.
Thanks!
Mike
I have a SENSATION without the Frederick Reynolds stamping. It was made for L. C. Thompson, Pottsville PA
There are no other stampings on the tang.

I would like to add that the SENSATION bevel was cleaned up on a Shapton Glass 8k. 4 laps on a Frictionite 00 and 20 laps on the Gokumyo 20k. A proper stropping and a great shave.
