King Razor Restore

Not much work to do on this later vintage razor. Original scales with new wedge, washers and pins. The wedge is a little wider so the blade sits deeper in the scales.

Finished honing it about an hour ago and shaved minutes ago. Very nice, no hassle from the spike point. My honing skills are coming together after adopting the technique Phil from The Classic Edge demonstrated at the Toronto get together. The blade is magnetic and the hollow grind pings when I shave

I place a piece of electrical tape with a round hole over the heads and then sand with 1k and 2K, remove the tape and hit it with polishing paste. I think I still need to peel a taller head so they don't flatten out so much, if that is possible. Unless I had very good hammer control I might end up with an over sized and normally flat head.

Really nice work Hart; glad to see you preserved the scales. I'm impressed!
