Very nice, love the scales and the pinning.
Absolutely beautiful!?
Wow-The brass hardware really complements that beautiful burl!
That's a nice set!
:tu
Great looking pair. Blades and scales are real eye candy. Great work. Thanks for sharing.
Wow awesome Andrew. Looking forward to getting them back home and honed up.
Nice job. I find it interesting that W&B etched those with 'Barber's Rattler' when the old razor books identify a different grind as the 'Rattler.' I guess it was just a marketing gimmick anyway. Beautiful set, whatever they call them. :tu
Awesome work, and razors!!
Andrew - Holy @#$%! Those turned out awesome!
Stunning razors you have there . I am generally not a fan of wooden scales on Sheffields and the like..But then again, a beautiful burl such as those can not be classified as simply wood ! Works of art IMHO ! Enjoy
Smokin'....really great job, they look fantastic! :D
Great job, Andrew! They look smashing! :tu
That's one gorgeous set of WB's! Really digging the scales. I have two restores I need to get to. May go with this wood for the scales on one.
Wow Andrew they turned out amazing with the burl. I think you just made a set that Trillium is never going to part with. And they will partner well with the burl brush he bought from you at Mikes razor meet. Gorgeous set!
Yeah nice work indeed, book matching just tops it off.
Omg! Those are awesome.
Got my payment from Colin last night.

Tally Hooooooo!!
I had been wanting a nice Tally Ho for some time. Just so happened Colin (TrilliumLT) had one I wanted.
We had a nice sit down at the local pub, EJ'S, here in Baden last night. He brought his brother in law along too, Jason72. We had some local Beer and talked razors, looked at some Thuringians, 3 line swatys, and pics of razors stashed at local Antique stores. Those two definitely have some secret spots, that have nice stuff.
Colin also gave me this guy as a trade for some more work he wants done. Can't wait to finish this guy up.

I would also like to nominate Colin for first place in the Razor Acquisition Disorder runnings. He has a very impressive collection, of about 100 blades he brought as well. Thanks for the eye candy Colin.
wow !! truly amazing look on those things !!!
Excellent work Andrew beautiful piece of wood are they stabilized?
That is some beautiful wood on there. I like how the brass matches so well.
They're backed with Wenge veneer, and then pressure treated with Marine teakwood oil. They dry for a minimum of a week, and then clear coated with a flex CA. This is a very soft wood and it does require extra steps to be usable as scales or brush handle material.
