The old horn loves the neetsfoot! I have an old can of Blue Ribbon brand. Seems fine as very old. :)
Thanks, Guys! ! :D

Fantastic razor Tom and great write up of your procedure.
Really smoking' restore Tom. I don't know how I missed this thread...............well, yes I do. I missed quite a few threads around that time because I was dealing with some things. I have an old Greaves with similar type scales that someone apparently broke & tied string around it to hold it together. You've seen people do that before I'm sure as i have seen quite a few.

Very cool razor, Steve!
That is amazing work!
Hi Tom
Lurking in the restoration sub forum I found this great job you did and I have to say congratulations for the results and thanks for share with us.
I was definitely bitten by the straight razor bug, since the first day I found this forum I have been reading and watching pics all over enjoying some members works and imagining my self doing a restoration over a barn find razor.
After read this post I remembered I had a cow horn laying around some where I left the computer and went directly to the place I saw it last time and was lucky enough to find it and it is already in my pile of materials for future projects.
Thanks for the inspiration and knowledge
Thank you, Roberto.
Yes, the restoration bug is addicting.
Working to restore old horn is one of the most rewarding parts of the game, IMO.
So many things can be done to preserve this material.
Last but not least. Amazing job as always.
I think that you should write a book or 2, 3 documentaries and a mini series.
I'm in awe of your abilities. Things that I seek out to buy just don't compare to the love and hard work that you put into your personal projects. I need 9 of these in my collection.
Now wonder you never got back to me about "that thing" that I asked you about...LOL
