Removing the uglies
I received this Greaves & Sons stub tail as just a bare blade. At some point in its life it looks like someone tried to clean it on a grinding wheel. They made quite a mess of it. The pitting was fairly deep in some places. I reground it using a 6 inch contact wheel and finished with contrasting glaze finished blade faces and crocus finished spine and tang. The honey horn scales are a period correct reproduction at .110 thickness, flat and fairly straight with a beveled edge all around. A lead wedge and brass pins and collars holds it all together.

Great work as always. I've got to get a grinder one of these days. You just can't do that with greaseless.
