New Build

Lately I have been really focusing on grinding (mainly hollow grinding and keeping everything even and blending grind lines). This is a razor that I just finished up a few hours ago. I honed it and it really took a nice edge. I scored a coticle of the bay about 2 months ago (a used albeit it barely, Ardennes) and have been playing with it as a finisher under running water and a good stropping on my loom strop. This razor really gave a great shave. Currently it seems that the heel is the area that is giving me the most difficulty. This bevel is really nice and even right up to the heel where it get just a touch wider mainly on the back side.
The specs are:
Steel- O1
Grind - Full hollow (as thin as I can currently:)
Width- Slightly more that a 6/8
Point - Spanish
Scales-Paua ALVS
Wedge-Faux micarta ivory
Jimps on the bottom of the tang

I am no maker. I do however love looking at razors and pictures. Here is what I can see in the pictures, let me know if anything is inaccurate.
The tang looks like it has a nice taper to it.
The grind looks even, but you can hide a lot at that distance.
There is a nice bow to the scales, although they look fat for the blade. They may make the grip at the tang for stropping a bit off, but that is not directly shown in the pictures.
The whole package presents well except for that one small point.

Thanks for the input and the compliments! The scales are a wider that a typical razor, for my it is aesthetics as I really like the look of the ALVS. The grip at the tang where the jimps are fit my hand nicely and really allow me to have a nice sturdy pinch grip with my index and thumb for stropping and/or honing. The pictures do not show the bevel near the heel enough to see the difference in the bevel, I could have shown that better (got excited to post something:). I believe that you observations are correct regarding the grip near the tang, but it really doesn't effect stropping or honing. The scales are wider than normal as I wanted to have a bit more of the ALVS present because it is aesthetically pleasing.

I agree with Shaun above. The grind looks good, however close ups will show better if there are any issues.
The scales are too fat, the width at the tang should match the tang itself, otherwise they will be uncomfortable to hold for honing and stropping.

Have you figured out the spine to blade ratio so the natural honing bevel angle is known to you?
From the photos my almost calibrated eyeball tells me it is just right.
