Wade & Butcher Spike Point Restoration
I had this in the BST, but nobody was interested. So, I'll keep it. I thought I would post here so that you restoration folks can have another thread and more pictures to look at. We all like that right?
Anyway, the blade work was all done by hand sanding up through 2K to get a mirror polish and then a satin finish applied to the blade face. The scales are faux ivory (Alternate Ivory col/849 from masecraft) with the spacer (with a bit of wedge shape) made from the same material. (Still working on getting my wedges more wedge-like.) Sure, it might have been a bit of a "faux pas" to not use another wedge material/color for contrast with the scales, but I didn't have anything else readily on hand.
This was my third blade and scale job overall. It took some patience getting it honed, but it's a great little save and shaver. I've really enjoyed learning how to do this with all of the great advice on this site!
