Real nice job. Looks like no evidence of honewear remains and the bevel is perfect and small.
Nailed it Doc!!
Perfect!!!
Nicely done, Alfredo.
Looks like you've got the regrinding down pat.
Beautiful job on a beautiful razor.
Pete <:-}
well done sir. truly a great job all the way around - razor and scales. if this is your maiden voyage i look forward to seeing future endeavors.
I'll go with the majority here and say one heck of a good job especially considering it was a first attempt at regrinding.
Bob
Sweet..!! Looks great.!
I have done a few as well. It’s not an easy task. A good grinder makes a big difference.
Your regrind came out quite well, and the finished razor looks good.
Great regrinding and beautiful scales. :chapeau
Think you should have kept the nut and bolt as the pivot pin :rofl2:
asking for a friend. lets call him ... schloan.
say schloan is super lazy and doesnt want to hand-sand any razors to remove pitting. what type of minimum mechanic setup would he need to successfully regrind?
just wondering. for a friend.
Vic had built a tiny grinder at one point. Charlie also has a small grinder that he built. Most guys build or buy 2x72 belt grinders. From there it’s about some good instruction and practise.
Looks good.
It is a real skill as I am finding out.
I would say it is the most interesting part of restoration.
The grinder takes years to master but the learning curve is fast.
I spent most of Sunday re grinding 3 blades and I'm loving every second of it :)
I haven’t been brave enough to attempt a regrind, but am curious to know what you used. Was it a grinding wheel or a belt sander? I’ve seen videos of folks using both and the belt sander seems more versatile.
Great job Alfredo! What size wheel did you use?
Beautiful work! Would not have thought it was a first attempt.
