WA Kamisori
This is a WA Kamisori I recently finished, the steel is W2 clayed up for a hamon. the WA handle is horn on either end with blackbutt for the main body. its a right handed asymmetrical grind 8/8
I ground it as thin as I could and set the bevel on a morihei 9k and polished it off on a JNat. very comfortable shave!

I think that's awesome and in spirit of Japanese kitchen cutlery.

I think I like it. Without using it, it would be difficult to say. I feel like it would give you a very positive grip. I find my kami, has a wrap, to get a little lost in my hand at times, though that may be because I rarely use it. I also feel like you could go a fair bit thinner on the handle, it may look better proportioned. Your grinding looks awesome by the way.
What sized wheels did you use for the hollows?

I love wood, and enjoy making wood bowls, pens, and other things out of various woods. Therefore I am a bit biased. It looks fantastic.

Just a 4” contact wheel for both. Just different placement while I grind. The edge is pretty much dead centre to the handle. It was as thin as I could go without opening up a void in the side walls unfortunately. Trust me lol 4 failed attempts made sure I was going to leave enough meat on it just in case. I think s mill and long series slot cutter will be needed in the future.

I had a Huon pine / walnut bowl and brush turned up for this for a raffle I ran. My handle was going to be matching but boy that Huon pine would not work for me.
