Damascus in bone and ivory
This is an earlier blade that never got scales, and I still had the prototype blanks I made for my tamahagane project. I put 1 and 1 together.
The bone is buffalo, and the resin is blue and red, just poured one on top of the other without stirring.
Scales like this are always backed with carbon fiber, and sealed on the front side with CA to prevent stress cracks.
This is actually a fun way to make scales because you can do so much in terms of colors. The only caveat is that once you start pouring, there are no backsies :) .
