Kikuboshi FeoN 1070 Double Concave grind 6/8
This is about perfect timing to tell the whole story behind this J-Raz.
I noticed a few posts about the use of Alcohol and Barbercide for soaking SRs
I got this beautiful NOS piece of Japanese steel for a song only because the former owner was sick about soaking the Mint Green decorated scales in Barbercide.. It destroyed the decorations on the scales and took away some of the beautiful colors :(

I finally got around to rescaling it for my personal collection using Red Pearl Kirinite..
They are .110" thick, the wedge is .055" at the base and made from Faux Ivory. Kinda figured the Red and White theme fit a J-Raz.
Pins are Nickel Silver with SS Reversed locking outer washers and Solid Brass inner Bearing washers..
The finish, of course, was a Nakayama stone with a Kita nagura...

Beautiful work Glen. Those scales fit that blade nicely and give it a nice "Aja" effect..not sure how to define that exactly but that song came to mind when I saw it.

That's an interesting grind for sure.

Glenn, you talk about the double concave grind, but don't include a picture of that amazing concept. Can we see it?

Many people confuse a Bellied Grind and the Double Concave
This is a good thread that has the old George Korn Patent on it too
https://sharprazorpalace.com/razors/...ied-grind.html
The bottom pic of the razor with it open shows the Double Concave lower edge quite well
The are a unique feel on the face
Victor aka Bluesman on here does a great version of it
Korrat also has a version

I like the detail of the grind on the spine at the point. Very clean and precise
