First Resto
During Movember I bought this T. RENSHAW & SON plus one lot of 5 blade only razors from Tom (sharptonn) with the intention of restoring them. After much research and reading through the info here on SRP, I finally got my act together.
This is my first attempt at a full break down, polish and repin. Once cleaned up, a lot of pitting became visible, some quite deep near the heel. So I decided to not go too crazy and try remove every blemish. A lot of hand sanding and buffing has put some sparkle back in the old razor.

Looks good. Good one to start on.

Nice work. A little blemish is fine. They are crazy old and sometimes that happens.

Thanks fellas. What really surprised me was the amazing level of gloss that can be achieved with old horn scales. Light hand sanding and a little buffing and they come up a treat.

Nice restoration. Those aren’t pits, they’re patina ; )
That razor just shines in her refinished scales.
Nice work.

The oldies look better with a blemish or two to show the age. Nice job. The shape of the edge is a nice curve and you didn't wash out the lines on the spine too bad. That can be an issue with sanding. Losing the lines at the spine.

Nice job, that's a good looking razor :)

Looks great! Collars really set it off. Movember donation rewarded! :tu
