Quite the mix. Bone Wood, Acrylic, Brass. Then Double pinned wedge. Going all out.
Love the stabilized burl blend.
Well done.
How’s the weight with the brass liner?
Excellent work
The brass is only 0.010 but it was almost needed to give the wood the flexibility it needed with out it it was going to crack.
If you look close at the pinning you can see where I refilled the pin hole because I had a slip on the belt sander while shaping the wedge.
I had to re-shape the back of the scales and move the pin in. so I filled the hole with CA and baking soda then colored the repair with blue sharpie then finished filling it with CA.
Like I said, nice work.
I Used to make stuff in my own alumilite blends a few years back when I had more free time.

Hope to get back into a few still on the workbench next year when my auto project is behind me.
Oh I dunno, Mike.
You have certainly done your share!

The acrylic mostly on the tips of the scales is a cool effect.

I still have some of that stock material too, turned out really well, that one was lined I believe.
Happy she’s holding up Tom.
