That's breathtaking. Wow. Amazing! I wish I had more words....
Really outstanding. I truly look forward to your future projects-please share them with us. Great work.:bow
before....after.....very well done indeed
Stunning work on that blade :tu
Im trying to work out the blade profile, in the before shots it looks flat ground but it looks kindof hollow in the after shots with a raised spine, on the tang as well, is this just a trick of the camera? I cant see how you could have ground it hollow and retained the stamp on the tang. Sometimes tricky to work things out with pics of shiny steel, great work whatever.
Ok I've looked again and I think its just my eyes ;) it still looks flat in the end on profile shot so I guess its a reflection!
I've got Three words for your razor..
FAN TAS TIC !!!
I Love the blade I love the Scales.....

:rock: :tu
JESUS Bubba!!! I'm still not over that W. Greaves and Sons semi-custom you did a little bit ago, and now you go and do this. Next time, wait a little so I can catch up! You'll have to make a little demo video where you explain the tools and techniques you use to go from really beat up razors to mirror finished beauties.
Thanks, but this one is from over 6 months ago and it recently got bumped.
To be perfectly honest, I really don't like the scales on this one. I think that it goes for most of us here in the workshop that most razors actually look better in person. This one though, well, I think it's got some new pants in it's future.
As for the process, it was pretty much straight from Bruno's hand sanding how to thread;

It's a semi-long thread, but there's a ton of info in there.
I didn't really do anythng special with this razor. It just took more time than razors that started in better shape. If you have the time on your hands you could do it too.
