This blade was rescaled for a member here. My design for the carbon fiber scales. I had complete artistic freedom. I knew he liked wild stuff rather than traditional so I came up with this. He loves it. The tapered spacer is acrylic. Pins are brass/SS/brass stacked washers with nickel silver peened pins. Look great in person! Comments/constructive criticism welcome. Enjoy!
Another fine job Alex!!! The scales look awesome and accent the scalloped back on the blade perfectly...I can see why someone would like it. I love it.

Easily the most aesthetically challenging[1] razor I've seen here. That Zwilling logo automatically conjures up images of poultry shears. But your interpretation of this particular blade is truly innovative. If Henckels were still making razors worth the name in 20 years's time, they should be proud if they looked like yours.

Very nicely done! I would love it if my 8/8 blade was encased in similar scales.

VERY NICE! I need one.....
I recently purchased one of these NOS Henckels with the Scalloped Back, Spanish Point. If you look closely at the last picture, you'll notice that the shape of the spine is not a triangle, i.e., is it a defective cut? The razor I purchase looks this way, too. Does it matter or should it be close to a triangle in shape? I hope I'm making sense here... Thanks.
Wow, blast from the past huh? lol... I'd do some things differently now that I look back on it, but anyway...
Nothing to worry about. These razors just have less than perfect alignment in terms of the 'worked back' and all that stuff. Just poor finish work on the part of the company/whoever did it. Those Henckels are ALL like that in my experience.
