Genco with Linen Micarta
This is my razor but already belongs to someone else lol. Anyway, it's a Genco Fluid Steel. I restored it to this condition. I left it at more of a satin finish. Scales are linen micarta and are much more beautiful than these pics can show. There is a great pattern around the edges of the different linen layers. Wish you could see- it's really stunning. Overall the man who now owns the razor just wanted scales as Genco would have made them. The tapered spacer is G10, and pins are brass. ...and so on. Enjoy!

I think you matched the OEM look very well -- very clean, but the layers in the micarta no doubt give it some pizzazz. :tu

I reallly like this razor. I like the way the ends and wedge are curved/rounded off in one smooth curve.
Great Job!

I think it looks awesome,,,scales go well with the blade giving it a retro look.

If it shaves half as good as it looks it will make the lucky owner very happy :tu

Do you make the linen micarta? I did a quick google and didn't find much. Do you have a resource for info on fabricating this material? I know it's widely used for knife and gun scales, but I don't know how to make it. I have an idea it's much like making patches for surfboards though.

Inspiring Work
Good job. I am now motivated about repairing my little workhorse razors. That razor you did so well looks like it is a pleasure to shave with. Clean and easy to keep clean. Ageless craftsmanship. Thanks, Robert
