A fist full of razors, W&B, Mappins, Dovos O my!
Been a busy couple of weeks. I finished up a couple Mappins and a couple of W&B’s for a SRP member. The blades were pretty pitted and stained. I have them a sanding and polish. The blades are still not perfect but much better than they started. The owner did not mind if they had a little character. I did one in Olive, one in Brazil Walnut, Cherry, and Cocobolo. He also had a bit meat cleaver W&B that had decent original scales but the pivot pin had broken. I salvaged the original washers, buffed the old horn out and repined it using the original hardware. I took great care to replicate the exact style of pinning. You cant tell which is 100 years old and which is new. I also dropped a fist full of Dovo’s into some buffalo scales. Wish I could keep a few of these.
