That is a cool set and something to be proud of. +1 on a tutorial for one piece scales :bow
Outstanding choice making an entire set -- looks very nice!
Consider the request for a 1 piece scale tutorial Mentioned, Seconded and voted for :)
And as usual... fine work!
Thanks guys. A tutorial? O.K. I'll work on something, but consider yourself warned, power tools and jigs are needed. Don't cry to me when your wives yell because you had to buy another tool. :chop::rofl2:

I'm looking forward to that tutorial, powertools, jigs and envy included!
+1
1-piece scales are easy to make with the right tools. I personally use a tablesaw with a jig to cut the slot, then a hand saw to finish. I then have some stock already cut to exactly match the kerf of my tablesaw blade so that I can wedge it in there to continue cutting out and shaping the blank.
You might be able to cut the slot with a hand saw, but your slot may not end up as straight. There is nothing, to my knowlege, that can be done with power tools that can't be done by hand in some way. However, they make the job much faster, simple, precise and in some cases safer.
Greta razor & set indeed. :tu:bow:nj
Tutorial.. Bring it on... Us single guys have no wives to fear :D
