Erusta - Boehlersteel - 6/8 ~ Paua
This is a scale job I did for one of our members.
It's a razor that belonged to his father's grandfather. I have to admit that the razor for being that old (18??) looked pretty much immaculate with just a few minor residual stains.
It's a gorgeous quality 6/8 piece of steel. It used to be a spike point but the point has been muted and slightly rounded throughout the razor's honing career and usage.
Frank decided on the acrylic Paua scales. I know... Those are getting pretty popular around here... :D
I used a transparent acrylic wedge and the usual nickel silver and brass pins and washers.
Pics don't even do them justice, really.
