Thread: DePew's!!!

I've wanted one of these for a while & finally snagged this one a few weeks ago!
It was tatty, but I think it's polished up ok?
I took it back to 240 grit & worked my way through to 1200. There is some minor pitting, but i decided to leave it rather than risk losing the etching on the blade.
All this was carried out with the scales on as they were fine as they were so stayed that way!
I'm honing it now & will no doubt try it later!

Thank's guy's! All honed & ready to go now. They're a bugger to strop though! I think it's the curved shank. I found it a bit awkward at first, but it became easier after plenty of laps.
It look's so much better in the flesh too! I'll try to get some better photo's, but i'm a bit limited due to my lack of skill with a camera.

That is one impressive looking blade! Some day it would be nice to have one in the stable. Hope you get to enjoy it for a long time!

I never had any desire to have one of those until seeing your photos of that beautiful blade. Now it is on the list. If it shaves half as good as it looks it will be great.
