Two if yer going to try this you have to search out the 6 inch blanks the 5 in are just not long enough, BTW if it doesn't give a size trust me they are 5 inch. I found these....
Monster 1 x 6 Inch Acrylic Blanks
Each blank can give 2 totally different looks depending how you decide to cut it...
The real problem is sanding it, it warps really, really, easy from heat which means that you are flipping and spinning it on the sander continually to keep it even...
Two things I will do different on the next set, get a fine tooth metal blade for my band-saw to cut it (I think it might help) and make a jig to help keep it flat while sanding...
