My first resto's
Fairly new still but just restored my first 3 razors. Unfortunately i managed to break 2 scales while de-pinning :gaah: Only had a dremel so i ordered scales from classicshaving. and adj pins from fastener express. Left to right frederick reynolds-original scale, hartford cutlery-micarta, and dd special #1-grey bone. Also shown is my recent antique find a milky glass bowl, perfect of soap. I sanded 250, 400, 600, 1000, 1500, dremel buffed with cutting compound from a buddies bodyshop, and finally mothers mag polish. Was looking to keep cost down so i used what i had laying around. Turned out okay i guess, but i wish i could have gotten that perfect mirror finish. There's still a few little dark h2o stains on the hartford but i think it adds character. I've got RAD so there's still a few more to resto. Open to your feedback & tips. Other places to buy scales??? Let me know what you think ???

Looks like you did a great job on your first go-around. The razors look very nice and now you got that taste in your mouth for more....
