Well, it is on its way to a new owner for another 100 years of service.
thats a very cool looking old blade. I wonder is it among the oldest around on this forum? Or does anyone shave with older razors than that?
I have two Bengalls that have nothing but "Bengall" written on one side of the tang. Would they be of similar age?
Cant say that I am an authority on razor age. I based my guess on the makers mark and origin stamp but appear to have been off. Someone else would be a better authority on age estimation.
I've been shaving with a W.Greaves which I believe dates around 1810. I've included a link to a picture of it. I really like this razor... it shaves well.

Yeah I'm pretty sure this is a regrind and the original grind is like on the photos in Brad's thread.
I think many of us have few older ones. John Barbers for example would be older, I'm pretty sure my Revitt is older and few other ones.
It's definitely a lot of fun to shave with something so old.
