Frederick Reynolds 'The Favorite' in Black and White Ebony

This one has been haunting me for about 6 months now. I just haven't been able to figure out what to do for scales for it. The old ones were warped really badly and needed to go.

Anyways, the blade is about 6/8ths. I wanted to keep the etch as much as possible, so didn't do as much to the blade as I normally would have. The scales are black and white ebony with a little wipe on poly. Wedge is clear acrylic. Pins are brass, ss, brass stacked with brass pins.

Nice work. I really like the pins too. Very smoth. The wood pattern is cool also. I also like the preserved etching, its really tough to keep it some times.

that is a realy great job i like everything about it, i bet it shaves as good as it looks.

Great work. I really like the two-tone coloring in the wood as well as that 'sweep' of the grain. Only one observation: I think that taking the time to round off the edges of the scales would give a slightly sleeker look to the scales. But, of course, that would tend to reduce the strength near the hinge pivot end of the scales. To compensate, the tail of the scales could be slightly (oh-so-slightly) widened and extended.
