W.T Staniforth Restore
Here is a W.T. Staniforth razor restore in its original black horn scales, restored for a forum member.
This razor was really brought back from the dead! There were some horrible scratch marks, which I think were caused by an electrical knife sharpener. The edge is also warped and has a bit of a wave, again presumed cause: Electric Knife Sharpener.
The scales are the original horn, some repair done to the inside wedge and pin sides of the horn due to a bit of rot. The scales were also cracked around the pivot, which I epoxied back together. You cant even tell now. I think it turned out very nicely considering all the initial damage.
Blade Make: W.T. Staniforth
Tang:W.T. Staniforth, "Ascend", Sheffield Eng.
Scales: Black horn, brass pins & stacked brass washers
Wedge: Steel
Grind: Thick 1/4

I think horn is the coolest scale material though. Looks so cool and lasts forever.

Staniforth Restoration
I'm the owner of the razor that Matt restored. I'm a newbie so I didn't take photos of what the razor looked like before Matt got it. I wish I had as the transformation borders on the miraculous. Extremely happy that I found this place and Matt(sapito318).
