Oh No, mister! You're doing some very fine work on your own! I've been patiently waiting for you to work up those wings since you teased me with it last month! Every artist has their own hand and *I* want to see what you can do. Call it a challenge even *evil grin*
If you need a few tips or get stuck, drop me a PM. I'll be glad to help out as best I can.
Tag....your it!!!
Cheers
Ok seriously, you are going to have to cut it out or else start getting prepared for me to show up at your door and demand that you teach me how to do that.
Suhhh...weeetttt!
The colors, the design, the execution. All perfectly matched to produce one heck of gorgeous result.
Very well done indeed.
Amazing!!! How do you do these?!? They're gorgeous!
That candy is so SWEET it makes my teeth HURT !!!!!!!!!!! :dropjaw:
Very nice!!! And I like the way you can see the razor through the scales!
Michael.
 Thanks! Now I have drool all over me and my desk! ;)
Exquisite work. :bow I've seen you other work and highly enjoy your functional are. There's a new kid on the block and he is producing a new class of razor restores!
Time to hand a shingle and make your restores available to the rest of us!
Wow those scales are beautiful, you have a gift.
There are not many razors that I am jealous of, your razors make me green with envy.

Well I luckily managed to find a back up of the original AI files while preparing my computer for a fresh install of Win7. I'll mock up something and post up the design in a bit. Looking at it, they might be too intricate for the purpose considering it was initially designed to be 6 inches by 18 not .75x6.
I think I am going to have to modify it for scale. at this size the threading is about 1/16th thick. Perhaps possible, but not likely given this is a first attempt for me. I'll print this out at work and take a go at it this week.
This will be some big scales though. I hope I have a blade that will fit well. About 1.5" at the wedge end.
Thanks, and sorry about your desk. :)
At the encouragement of some friends and my wife, I am going to be starting up my own custom metalworking company. It'll basically be an outlet for one of my hobbies. Of course this is how my photography business started out too. While the straight razors will definately have their own part in all of this, there will also be other more generic pins and brooches, as well as some masonic jewells and tid bits. We're still working on the website, so I'll let everyone know when it's up and running.
cheers,
Wow ! I missed this on the weekend but looks just as good on a Tuesday down here :tu.
Holy crap!
Damn, we've got some serious craftsmen on this board. That's really, REALLY amazing.
I want one.
Well you have a gift of making something that beautiful.
I'm amazed. Really unique and nice!
Beautiful work!
The Celtic themes are close to my heart as well, and you do them justice!
Can't wait to see what's next!
Although Shutterbug is a talented photographer......the photos don't do it justice. The razors all have a warmth, for lack of another word, in person.
Beautiful work, and a heck of a nice guy.
DUDE... YES
THAT IS AWESOME!!
