Le Thumbnotche'
Got a very interesting faux frameback from Sham a while back. All it says on the tang is "Paris".
Not being the type to leave well enough alone, I butchered yet another fine peice of shaving history.....
I made the point more oblique (had to have a French point on there, no?), added the obligatory thumbnotch, 'cause I roll like dat, and a set of new scales (curly cherry over black acrylic) to round off the package. Check out the frameback grind on the tip shot, pretty neat I think.

a nice personal touch! i have a frameback that says J I M of paris, must be the same maker? it also could use some radical mods.

I like what you've done there. Rather than completely depart from the current design, you've incorporated it so well it looks like it was meant to be.
Sheffield cutlers "back in the day" referred to that grind as a rattler grind.

Another nice job, that frameback is cool.

I don't know about "butchering" a fine piece of history. Your work looks as though it was planned that way when the straight was born. Nice work, very nice.

I remember Paris blade but didn't recognize at first look. wow nice work

I think it should be La Thumbnotche.
