So I decided to tackle a rescale and finish on a $15 Ebay find.
Specs: Hand sanded blade from 120,220,320a,320b,600,1000,2000. Scales cut out of base from an old pepper mill with copping saw, then cut in half and cut in half again after I saw how thick the first split was. Shaping done with loose sand paper by hand from 150,220,320,600.
Razor: #82 KOLLER & SCHMITZ CUTLERY CO SOL. GERMANY / FOX
Scales: Unknown wood from an old pepper mill.
Wedge: Reused from original
Finish: PARKS Super Glaze
BEFORE:
Th scales were cut too short and the blade rests on the wedge.
