This is a G. Lathan & Son scales are acrylic faux tortose. The acrylic was very nice to work with. The pins and domed washers are brass and the wedge is honey ox horn. I really like the detail on the the front of this razor. So here it is.

Are these the Thiers-Issard faux tortoise replacement scales or did you make your own? Looks great to me.

Its all in the wiki restoation section, Undream (Brad) has a whole restoration from start to finish on video all kinds of good stuff in there. Also theres a thread how to epoxy scales too. Gsixxgun(Glen) has a restoration tutorial in one of those pemanent (red) threads in the begining of the work shop forum. Theres tons of good info on SRP just look or ask and you will find itQuote:

Wow, faux tortoise usually makes me sick. It remnds me of 1980s hair brushes and stuff. What you used looks great though, much nicer than the stuff I'm used to seeing. It has more detail/figuring to it an. A nicer colour. Great work!
