Plain old shaver in new clothes
This was my very first razor a Stevens & Hills, it had some well worn and faded faux tortoise celluloyd scale so I wanted to spruce it up a bit. So I restored it using honey horn with brass pins and washers and a honey horn wedge. Man did this one give me a hard time yesterday. I was sure the horn scales were warped and tried everything I could think of from boilin the scales and clamping them to tapping on the piviot pin and more. I put a post in the workshop and Mr. Maxamillion pointed me in the right direction " check the blade" sure enough that was it, a uneven grind on the tail. I made a tappered spacer for the pivot pin and it worked like a charm. So here it is and a special thanks to Max
