Look great. I like the spine. That combined with the wedge blade makes it eye catching.
That is a very classy looking razor. The shape of the blade and those ivory scales beautiful. For me it is hard choice deciding how much pitting to take out. I think you struck the perfect balance between removing the pits and smooth and shiny.
Charlie
That is a nice looking razor.
A restored classic blade in ivory is a joy to look at and a joy to shave with.
MINE…She is beautiful too. Perfect blade alignment on un-blemished ivory scales, lead wedge. This one has never been honed and yes I will start with one layer of tape to protect spine. We’ll see how the edge shapes up during hone progression. What to final finish on??? Oooooo, so many choices. Salm Coticule, Charnley Forest, Nakayama Habutae w karasu, McWolfs Asagi, YG, BG or Brown Escher?
Thanks Sham;
Mike:)
Great job Sham!
What a nice smile & cross section :tu
Cool razor Sham, I've gone one like that in my resto que.. I hope it turns out as nice as yours!
Great blade and amazing front shot. I can never do that... always blurry. The razor looks really nice.....good job.
BTW, I know what i__ry is but what's a handle? lol
It seems you did not re-pin the razor (for cleaning/polishing around the pivot). It must be difficult to re-pin the straight. The scales look very thin.
Great work.
Who doesn't love a pre-ban,"natural tooth material" razor, and this looks beautiful! You did this razor proud.
The one thing that cant be shown, is what I imagine. How smooth I am certain it shaves!
Knowing your honing talents, I really am envious whoever takes ownership of this blade. They will not only have the classy, thin scales, but also wonderful very smooth shaving razor!
Jeezz Louise Sham,
That's a nice blade:bow...it has personality. Well done sir
