W&B in cocobola
many thanks to brando for this one. this is the first exotic wood i have worked with, and i must admit, it turned out better than i had was expecting, the razor was hand sanded up to 2000, and then maas. the scales i hand sanded to shape, and then using brando's method, i finished it with CA, the wedge is the original lead wedge, i do wish it would have pinned alittle tighter, but all in all i am not upset, the pins are brass rod, with stainless washers.

Stunning. Your pinning looks great (a h*** of a lot better than my attempts!), and the scales have nice lines to them.
Great job!

I'm not a huge fan of wood scales but those look fantastic..very classy. Nice work!

Nice job:tu . I love Cocobolo. Is the wedge not flush with the scales or are my eyes playing tricks?
-
it is and it isnt, i sanded it as flush as i could get, i liked the way it sat in when i stopped, only problem was when i peened it, i couldnt get it completely closed, but it is tight so i didnt push my luck on it. and good eye

For reference, it's not the "tightness" of the wedge pin that is causing the slight gap, it's the location. I've done the same thing. One thing you could do if it's really bothering you is to change wedges to a "less wedgy" wedge if that makes any sense at all.
Great job by the way, I love the wood/natural scales...they seem to have a more warm feeling to them.

less wedgy wedge, hmmm i think i get your point lol, dont worry i get your meaning, it dont bother me all that much.

congrats, well done. The scales are amazing and I like the pittings at the blade. This razor got "character"!
Thanks for sharing this pictures.

Very well done, the finish came out reall good, and Cocobolo is not an easy one to finish, it can be a real bear at times :tu
