It has been a hectic holiday season for me, but good, and I hope good for all of you. The first razor of the new year is an 8/8's square point with thumb and forefinger notches. It is full hollow polished to a mirror finish. the scales are swordfish bill (sword) and coated with epoxy. These were quite a challenge to work with until I discovered the secret. Wedge is rose madrone.

Nice work but what's with the writing on the scales? To me it detracts from the finished work.
I really like the look of those scales. Is that the natural coloring of the swordfish or did you use some kind of dye on them?

Yep, I agree the notch and the jimps are awesome and beautiful, but those scales are ultra cool.

Thanks Bob. I thought it was magic marker also, or just a paint shop edit to mark your photos. All of the craftsmanship looks really good. I look at it as a path to perfection. Keep them coming! :tu

I love the blade and the scales. I will tell to all that will listen that no one makes a full hollow like Bob. I usually tend towards a 1/4 to 1/2 hollow but I love the shave I get off of the razor I got from Bob. It is a super hollow ground and a perfect shave.
I think this razor should go on tour to all SRP members with 1 year of membership, to try out that finger notch!!! YEAH RIGHT

I Love it!! ....but you did the scales wrong with that printing. When I first looked at the scales, I thought it was that prehistoric ivory that Robert Williams was using for a while.

You rock! The shape of the tang and the jimps, are a great design. It looks like it would fit the hand perfectly. That is some great design and craftsmanship.
