I bought an old, broken pearl razor for some reason and decided to use some broken scale bits to reconstruct it. Having a sort of plan in place, I fully disassembled it, breaking a bit of the bottom pearl on one side, thus having to shorten them both a bit.I then fashioned top pieces from old, broken ivory scales and pinned them in with bronze rod after gluing them down with "goop". The dividers are of bakelite from another broken scale. After Lots of hand filing, sanding, and polishing later,I made a wedge from yet another piece of broken ivory and pinned in an old IXL blade which needed a home, using Barbur's brass collars, fitted to seat on the metal inner liners, using bronze rod there as well. It turned out better than I thought it would! ;) Thanks for looking!
I also give Dirtychrome a thanks for having faith in a crazy scheme!
