Was Gregory a prolific maker? I've never tried one of them, so could anyone tell me how do they compare to other Sheffield shavers?
I don't think Wm. Gregory was very prolific, mine is the only one I've seen on this site.
As for the shave, it's sublime. It hones easier than my Wade & Butchers and shaves just as well or better.
Their construction is a little wonky to say the least. How rare is it to fine a pre-1890 razor with a round point and double stabilizer? They took the effort to include these features, but they didn't take the time to thin the tang down to the monkey tail :shrug: It's pretty much a solid quarter-inch from stem to stern.
