My little honey...
Wife got me this razor last year for my birthday...I liked the patina on it. It was the first successful honing job I had accomplished and has always provided me with a great shave. The only thing was that the looks were a bit drab for my tastes.

I spent the last few days rebuilding it to show off what it could really accomplish. All the patina came off with a bit of coaxing but the blade still retains a bit of satin finish to it that looks just as nice as the patina. The tang, on the other hand, polished out to mirror++ finish and I'm pretty stoked over that. Had a couple pieces of Honey Ox here and decided that it was time to get it all put together. The scale design was a wostenholm design from about 15 years before this razor was made and still suits the razor. Hardware is brass and the wedge is recon stone...

Sweet!
Nice job on getting that wedge flush, and I like the delicate taper of the scales at the pivot. :tu

To be honest, I quite liked the look of it before you touched it. However, it looks awesome in a different way now. Beautiful work, the scale shape, the horn, the blade finish and that wedge are all fantastic.

Hunting for the 100 posts mark so you can sell your razors that you couldn't at coticule.be? :) It is a bit suspicious that you replied to about 30 topics here in about 15 mins, and every post was the sinonim of "very nice".

That is a sweet looking razor both with the patina and after you polished it, those scales are great. I wish I had the tools, time and money to restore a few razors. Once again nice job Red.

To Jeness.
I'm hunting for razors, honing stones and shaving items. As many collectors do. I like several scales and razor designes on this site, hope to buy few. And what are you hunting for? Check these topics, they are really very nice. As I wrote.

Very nice. You got a great finish on the horn and the wedge really pops :)

Haven't been on in awhile. Was nice to come across this when I did. Gets the juices flowing again.

I LOVE that wedge. A good wedge can really take a pair of scales from "Nice" to "Gorgeous".
