Default Friodur with Mother of Pearl/g10 scales

Here's a Henckels with it's handsome spine work.

I made the scales from Mother of Pearl on red G10 liners. Laminated and coated the shell in System3 MirrorCoat.

Nickel pins, triple washers of brass-stainless-brass and bone wedge.

This one came together in sort of a schizophrenic manner. I felt conflicted that I derailed the original direction that we discussed. End result though, very happy with the outcome.

More pics available here if wanted.

That looks outstanding Walt. Your work keeps getting better and better. I'm definitely glad you derailed the initial direction with this one.

Man, Walt, you have done a spectacular job on this! The combination of natural and Man-made materials melded in a perfect fit AND finish. Truly unique and worthy of high praise! Now my head is spinning! LOVE the collars. I am most impressed! SWEET!

That is awesome work, I love those home made scales. The red backing looks great, and add enough interest without stealing focus from the lovely blade. Very nicely done, it's a classic.
